Does Previous Perianal Surgery for Benign Diseases Have an Impact on Timing of Hospital Admission in Patients with Colorectal Cancer?

Objective. Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common and fatal malignancies worldwide. Although clinical presentation varies according to location tumor, hematochezia, tenesmus, changes in defecation habit, chronic constipation, abdominal pain, distension are findings CRCs. We aimed investigate whether patients with CRC who had a surgical history for benign anal disease have more negative tumoral features or not. Material Methods. Two-hundred fifty two underwent surgery between 2010 2016 at general clinic Ankara Numune Training Research Hospital included this study. Patients were classified into groups; undergone perianal such as hemorrhoid, fissure, abscess fistulae (Group 1) without past 2). Results. A total 252 mean age 64.2 years There 95 (37.7%) females 157 (62.3%) males. 25 (9.9%) disease. no statistically differences tumor size, lymph node positivity, presence distant metastasis, stage groups (p > 0.05). Conclusion. not significant, less lymphatic metastases size than those prior surgery. think that finding important it indicates importance detailed appropriate evaluation CRC.
